Oaken-seneschal -- Mailing list for Seneschals (and deputies) of the Oaken Region

About Oaken-seneschal
English (USA)

This is the UNOFFICIAL email list for Seneschals and their deputies within the Oaken Region (Ohio and Kentucky) of the Middle Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

This is a closed list, not so much for secrecy as simply to narrow the topic to things specifically of interest to the office of Seneschal. The archives are also private, purely as an antispam measure (spammers search list archives for email addresses).

There is also an Oaken populace list. Anyone with interest in the SCA in this area is welcome to subscribe to that list.

The list is maintained by Justinos Tekton, Oaken Web Minister, on behalf of the Regional Seneschal. Subscriptions are administratively approved by the Regional Seneschal; the list "owner" merely maintains the list from a technical standpoint.

Posting to this list is unmoderated. The rules are simple: Stay on topic and behave as a courteous Lord or Lady of these Current Middle Ages. Announcing events and demos here is perfectly fine. Please avoid overtly commercial messages, and please avoid modern-world political or religious solicitations or debates.

Posting of chain letters of any kind is considered strongly off-topic for this list. Virus warnings are also off-topic, as most virus attachments will be automatically removed by the mailing list software. If you believe that you may have sent a virus to the list, contact the list owner to have the logs checked before you post a warning here. Also be aware that many such warnings are hoaxes.

This list is not an official publication of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., nor of the Middle Kingdom, and it does not delineate policy of either of those organizations.

Be advised that posting information to this list does not constitute official notification of business under the provisions of the SCA governing documents.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Oaken-seneschal Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
